Hunter Douglas Designer Screen Shade fabrics allow varying degrees of light into your room depending on the pattern weave. Some fabrics are very sheer and allow in more light, while other fabrics have a tighter weave and diffuse more light. This is referred to as openness.

Note that some dark colors may appear more sheer than light colors, even when both colors are in the same collection and have the same openness factor.
